This study aimed to gain a deeper understanding of how play can stimulate children to a language development approach in preschool. The starting point for the study was the socio-cultural perspective on language development and learning through play. The study included three teachers working in a kindergarten located in the outskirts of the city of Malmö to which I've linked to the teacher candidate. I have used the qualitative method where I interviewed three preschool teachers. The results of the study show that the three teachers interviewed agreed that dilaog approach social development and language development in playtimes. Educators' opinion was that the dialogue method can be used for outdoor as well as in activities indoors. The conclusion is that the preschool's role is important in children's language development.
