| English abstract: | The purpose of this study was to investigate how the social services assure that foster homes provide the best care possible. The investigation consisted of interviews with three social workers and two foster home couples, in two different communities. Children placed in foster homes partly because of lack of care or abnormal behavior patterns. In order to maintain quality standard as a foster home it is necessary that communities investigate and do regular follow up meetings. The study shows a decreasing amount of foster homes. Reasons include that a lot of children are difficult to handle due to behavioral problems. The investigation method of recruiting new foster homes in the social services is primarily Kälvestens model. The interview with new foster home candidates is thorough and takes 3 to 6 hours. Results show that social workers have limited amount of time due to work load and are only able to meet for four follow up meetings per year. These guides are made when necessary and because there are insufficient resources and social workers do not have time for certain tasks because of overload. | Swedish abstract: | Syftet med studien var att undersöka socialtjänstens tillvägagångssätt för att ta reda på och försäkra sig om att familjehemmen utför ett bra arbete. Metoden för undersökningen var kvalitativ och intervjuerna bestod av tre socialsekreterare och två familjehems par, i två olika kommuner. Barn placeras i familjehem dels på grund av bristande omsorg eller avvikande beteendemönster. För att uppnå god kvalité krävs goda och säkra insatser av kommunerna i form av utredningsmetoder, uppföljning samt handledning. I resultatet av denna studie framgår det att rekrytering av familjehem blir allt svårare. Orsakerna uppges bero på att många placerade barn har beteendeproblem och blir därför svårhanterliga. Utredningsmetoden för nyrekryterade familjehem inom socialtjänsten är främst Kälvestens modellen. Det är djupgående intervjuer med de blivande familjehemmen, som uppges ta 3 till 6 timmar. Resultatet visade på att socialsekreterarna har begränsad med tid för att träffa barnen utöver de uppföljningsmöten som utförs fyra gånger årligen. Handledningarna görs vid behov och beror på att det inte finns tillräckliga resurser samt att socialsekreterarna inte hinner med vissa arbetsuppgifter på grund av överbelastning. | English abstract: | ABSTRACT NGOs today meet several challenges due to growing competition and shrinking aid budgets. These demands are something all NGOs need to find strategies to meet. Learning thereby becomes essential for the organizations survival, success and for sustainable development. To meet these demands organizations need to be able to learn and develop. This minor field study is carried out to promote learning by highlighting knowledge and understanding for goals and objectives. SOIR is a non- governmental organization that in their new strategy for development work is supporting the civil society in building their own community based organizations (CBO) in the rural area of Manicaland, Zimbabwe. The organization Mandeya 2 Development was through the support of SOIR registered as a community based organization (CBO) in the spring of 2012. Mandeya 2 development is in its initial stages implementing SOIRs goals, objectives and strategies for operational work. This study has been focusing on the objective: Reduce stigma and discrimination of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) whose parents passed on due to HIV related illness by December 2012. The purpose of the study was to analyze staff and volunteers’ knowledge, coherence and perception of the objective and the root causes the objective aim to address, in order to promote the building of a “learning organization”. The result showed that there was a lack of knowledge and understanding for the objective and that the objective was perceived in different ways by the informants. The result further showed that this has consequences for the organizations possibility to learn and also have impact on the motivation, participation and volunteers’ possibility to affect the operational work performed. | English abstract: | In recent years, several problems in the field of assistive device have been lifted. To manage the development Beslutsstöd (Decision support) has emerged as a systematic working method. Beslutsstöd is designed as a guideline and serves as a tool for physical therapists and occupational therapists in the prescription process of assistive devices. Beslutsstöd thereby aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of the prescribing process of assistive device in the organization of the municipalities. An implementation evaluation about how the implementation of Beslutsstöd in the municipalities did proceed has not been done. Neither is there any set plan for how the implementation of Beslutsstöd will proceed in the municipalities. Therefore, the evaluation's main question is: how did municipalities proceed to implement Beslutsstöd in order to develop and ensure the quality of their work regarding prescribing assistive device. Two central questions are if success factors and/or obstacles of certain significance can be detected throughout the implementation process of Beslutsstöd, if so, which? We also asked whether the respondents perceive that the local goals for implementing Beslutsstöd have been reached. The evaluation showed that the implementation processes in the three municipalities differ. Four components have distinguished as particularly significant in all municipalities in relation to success factors and obstacles. These are motivation, information, a gradually approach and the ability of the municipality to adapt Beslutsstöd towards their organization or vice versa. Two municipalities have successfully implemented Beslutsstöd and therefor reached their goals. One municipality did not succeed in fulfilling their goals and is not practicing Beslutsstöd today. |

| English abstract: | This evaluation aims to answer if the work method Lean has reduced stress, increased support and increased efficiency of the coworkers in a unit of the Swedish state insurance company. A websurvey has been used to collect the data that later have been analyzed. The findings show that employees think that Lean to a limited extent reduced the stress, partially increased support in their work and to a lesser extent increased their efficiency. |
| Swedish abstract: | Denna utvärdering ämnar svara på om arbetssättet Lean har minskat stressen, ökat stödet och ökat effektiviteten hos medarbetarna i en enhet hos Försäkringskassan. En webenkät har använts för att samla in den empiri som har analyserats. Slutsatserna visar på att medarbetarna anser att Lean i begränsad utsträckning har minskat stressen, delvis ökat stödet i deras arbete och i mindre utsträckning ökat deras effektivitet. |

| English abstract: | The purpose of this study is to explore and examine the social work that aims to prevent honour-related violence and oppression in Malmö. We have taken a qualitative approach in our study, which includes semi-structured interviews with a total of six respondents. The respondents represent four organizations which all work in both similar and different ways to prevent honour-related violence and oppression. Our results have been analyzed through already existing research and theoretical standpoints. The theoretical standpoints aim to interpret both the causes and expressions of honour-related violence and oppression. As for the research we have reviewed, some highlight prevention work in schools. As a result of our study we have been able to ascertain that the key in the preventive social work regarding this issue is informational work, such as education and enlightenment. This informational work is strongly influenced by a perspective based on Human Rights, Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), equal opportunities and democratic principles. It is also evident that the preventive social work should be based on the individual’s own perspective and needs. The results have shown differences between the different organizations, particularly with regard to approaches and entry points into what honour-related violence and oppression is. |
| Swedish abstract: | Syftet med studien är att undersöka det sociala arbetet som syftar till att förebygga hedersrelaterat våld och förtryck i Malmö. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats som innefattar semistrukturerade intervjuer med sammanlagt sex respondenter. Respondenterna representerar fyra organisationer som på olika sätt arbetar förebyggande mot hedersrelaterat våld och förtryck. För att analysera vårt resultat har vi använt oss av tidigare forskning i ämnet och olika teoretiska förklaringsmodeller. De teoretiska förklaringsmodellerna syftar till att tolka hedersrelaterat våld och förtryck, både dess orsaker och uttryck. Av den tidigare forskning vi har tagit del av framhålls bland annat vikten av förebyggande socialt arbete i skolor. Som ett resultat av vår studie har vi kunnat konstatera att nyckeln i det förebyggande sociala arbetet i denna fråga är informationsarbete, i form av till exempel utbildning och upplysning. Detta informationsarbete är starkt genomsyrat av ett rättighetsperspektiv, baserat på bland annat mänskliga rättigheter, Barnkonventionen, jämställdhets- och likabehandlingsprinciper. Det är också uppenbart att det förebyggande sociala arbetet bör grundas på den enskilde individens perspektiv och behov. Vårt resultat har visat skillnader mellan de olika organisationerna, särskilt när det gäller arbetsmetoder och ingångspunkter i vad hedersrelaterat våld och förtryck är. |
