Two-in-one: A biological supercapacitor—a combination of an electrochemical capacitor and an enzymatic fuel cell—is presented. Both the capacitor and the biofuel cell are built from nanomaterials, namely, polyaniline/carbon nanotube composites and redox enzyme/gold nanoparticle assemblies.
